I started #hiringwednesday in early March after the tech layoffs in Q1. As a multi-time founder in Women’s Health, I was overwhelmed with the number of people looking to get jobs in our space – and it was frustrating as a founder that I didn’t have anywhere to send them.  At the same time, a number of my founder friends in women’s health were looking for strong talent. Thanks to the inspiration of the #hiringfriday newsletter by Julia Bernstein, #hiringwednesday was born. 

Little did I know that we would soon have almost 1,500 people actively engaging each week. 

The amount of gratitude was the first indication we were on to something. But as the emails, texts and calls kept coming, it became apparent there was a significant need for a platform focused on capturing the macro-level momentum to help smart people work on the hardest problems in women’s health. 

Women are not ok. We have big challenges ahead of us – so this week at the Women’s Health Innovation Summit we soft launched our new brand - In Women’s Health.  

The first step in our launch is to re-brand this #hiringwednesday newsletter. This newsletter will continue to come weekly, will continue to feature jobs I hear about and my own thoughts about the industry -- and will continue to be free. 

Next week, we will launch our new paid career membership which includes our new jobs board (100+ companies, 1,400+ jobs updated daily), AI-based talent matching network, 1:1 meetups, functional cohorts, talent academy and more. Applications for membership are open on our website.   

Over the next few weeks we will share more about our In Women’s Health community values of generosity, transparency, confidentiality, belonging, growth and action. 

We welcome anyone who is passionate about working in women’s health, aligned with our values and is ready to be actively involved in our community for membership.
