The 10 Steps That Are Getting Women Hired in Women’s Health — and the Group That Will Help You Do It

I’ve spent the last decade building and scaling companies in women’s health — as a founder, CEO, and C-level operator. I’ve hired dozens of people, built teams from scratch, and interviewed candidates across product, clinical, growth, policy, and strategy roles.

And I’ll tell you this:

The people who stand out — the ones who get hired — are the ones who do the work.

Most people don’t.

They update a resume. Apply on job boards. Ask around for connections. But that’s it.

That doesn’t work.

I get a lot of requests for advice, and I do a lot of 1:1 sessions.

Over the past year, In Women’s Health has helped more than 50 people — almost one per week — land a job in this space. I started to see clear patterns in what made people successful.

There were 10 key steps that kept showing up — steps that, when done right, helped women actually break in, pivot roles, or level up. So I started sharing those in free education sessions.

But here’s the thing: doing this alone is hard.

IWH members started asking to do it together — for accountability, structure, and regular feedback. So in January, I pulled together a group of 14 women who were serious about making a move in their careers.

We met twice a week. We worked through all 10 steps.
We were vulnerable. We gave each other feedback. We moved fast.
That group got close — and they’re still meeting today.

Of those 14 women, several have already landed interviews or secured roles at places like Seven Starling, Maven, Progeny Health, Alma, Kindbody, Pomelo Care, and more.

And I met with each of them 1:1 — to dig deep into their story, clarify their strategy, and help them move forward.

Now, I’m pulling together the next group — a small, committed cohort of women who are serious about building careers in women’s health.

This next Mastermind group kicks off April 7, and I’m opening up just 20 spots. There are 14 left.

If you’re ready to take action and want expert guidance, structure, and a group that will keep you moving on your women’s health job search — here’s what I’ll walk you through, step by step:

1. Build Your Network
Strategic, thoughtful relationships are the most powerful lever for your next job — I’ll show you how to build them, even if you don’t know anyone yet.

2. Uncover Your Unique Value Add
You already bring something powerful to this space. I’ll help you name it and talk about it with clarity and confidence.

3. Zero in on Your Ideal Role
Most people are unclear about what they want. I’ll help you define the right role, company, and function — and what’s realistic based on your background.

4. Get Discovered
I’ll make sure your LinkedIn, resume, and presence in the space are making it easy for the right people to find you — and see your value.

5. Tell Your Story
You’ll craft your one-liner, 30-second intro, and full “Tell me about yourself” story — and practice them in live sessions and small groups.

6. Find Open Roles
So many of the best jobs in this space never hit job boards. I’ll show you how to find (or create) the opportunities no one else sees.

7. Build a Strong Resume to Get an Interview
Hiring teams in women’s health look for specific things — I’ll help you workshop your resume and make it count.

8. Interview with Impact
We’ll use STAR and Pixar frameworks so you can tell stories that are clear, strategic, and memorable — and that land offers.

9. Negotiate Your Role
I’ll give you scripts, language, and strategies to ask for what you need and position yourself with confidence.

10. Set Yourself Up for Success
I’ll walk you through how to navigate your first 90 days — building trust, setting expectations, and laying the groundwork for long-term impact.

What January’s Group Said:

“Joining the 10-Step group and connecting with Jodi Neuhauser has been an incredible experience. The group provided valuable insights that helped me refine my LinkedIn profile, revamp my resume, and strategically position myself in the job market—especially within women's health.”

- Ariel Zuckerman

“The Mastermind helped me refine my story, regain my job-seeking confidence, and connect with an incredible group of smart, supportive women. With Jodi’s guidance, I now see where I belong in this field and have the tools to get there.”

- Susan Willis

“The Mastermind helped me clarify my professional goals, create a clear action plan, and make tangible progress. I was surprised by how much we accomplished in such a short time.”

- Danielle Kutcher

🌟 Success Story: How Tara Brooke Landed a Mission-Aligned Role at Twentyeight Health

We’re thrilled to celebrate an exciting milestone for In Women’s Health member , who just joined Twentyeight Health as their Enterprise Community Partnerships Lead!

In this new role, Tara is focused on building strategic partnerships to expand access to reproductive healthcare for underserved communities. Twentyeight Health is a digital-first women’s health platform currently operating in 43 states and serving over 100,000 patients — and Tara is now part of the team advancing that impact.

What makes this story even better?

Tara first discovered Twentyeight Health through a LinkedIn comment from IWH founder Jodi Neuhauser. After interviewing for one role, someone on the team saw Tara’s potential and passed her name along for another internal position — one that turned out to be a perfect fit.

“Huge shoutout to the woman who saw my potential in that interview and passed my name along instead of just closing the door!” – Tara Brooke

With a background in grassroots initiatives and scalable engagement strategies, Tara is already making an impact — helping more people connect with the care they need and deserve.

We’re so proud to have played a small role in her journey — and we can’t wait to see what she builds in this next chapter.

Congratulations, Tara! đź‘Ź
