💯 Issue 100. A Milestone—and a Moment to Get Real.

When I first started In Women’s Health, it was a labor of love—a way to share roles that my friends, many of them founders in the space, were looking to fill. It wasn’t a business. It wasn’t a platform. It was a belief: that more women deserved to lead, to build, and to shape the future of healthcare.

As a leader, I’ve always had a passion for developing talent and connecting people to the right opportunities. In every 1:1 or interview I’ve ever done, I ask:
“Where do you want to be in 2–5 years?”
It doesn’t have to be at my company. I just want to know who you are and what you're building toward—because I believe that’s where the real transformation starts.

That same belief is what drives my obsession with fixing the women’s health system.
If we want a system that works—for patients, providers, and innovators—we have to invest in people. And we have to tell the truth.

So today, on the 100th issue of the IWH newsletter, I want to ask you something:
Have you ever felt like the women’s health system was working against you?

I hear stories like this every day—and I want to start capturing them so we can make the failures in women’s health undeniable to the people who hold power: legislators, funders, media, and policymakers.

If you’ve ever:
– Waited months for care you urgently needed
– Had insurance deny coverage for something essential
– Felt like your doctor’s hands were tied by red tape
– Tried to deliver care and couldn’t get paid
– Burned out inside a system that doesn’t support you

You’re not alone.

Storytelling drives change. It moves hearts, shifts systems, and builds momentum for action.

And if there’s one thing these first 100 issues have taught me, it’s this:
The future of women’s health will be written by those brave enough to share their story, start the conversation, and take action toward change.

Let’s begin—with yours.

xx Jodi
