Hey — Jodi Neuhauser + Rachel Braun Scherl here.

Healthcare is complicated. The business of women’s health is even more nuanced. We are here to make it more simple - to understand, to action and to advance your career in women’s health.

Women’s health is one of the hottest industries for employment right now.

Each job is getting over 1,000 applications in the first 48 hours.

To breakthrough, you have to stand out in three ways:

  1. Have a strong network (to get your resume to the top of the pile)

  2. Have a strong resume (showing women’s health experience and your investment in learning more)

  3. Know the space. You’ll have to impress the hiring manager with your experience and knowledge by connecting the dots on how value and impact are created — and where you fit in.

Whether you’re a healthcare exec, founder, MBA grad, early-career leader or career-switcher looking to get into women’s health, understanding the business of women’s health is the key to advancing your career.

The In Women’s Health Mini-MBA does all three.

The Women’s Health Mini-MBA is the product of 40+ years of experience, hundreds of hires, and thousands of hours of training, leading, educating, mentoring and coaching in our ecosystem.

There is nothing on the market like this.

This is the only course that looks at the business of healthcare through the lens of women’s health.

It’s the only course that:

  • Breaks down the complicated silos in healthcare

  • Covers the nuances of women’s health within our healthcare system

  • Gives you access to expert mentors and a strong community

  • Allows you to build your network with 50 other talented leaders in the space

  • Previous cohorts have had an opportunity to learn from industry leaders including:

    • Jill Angelo, Founder Gennev

    • Liz Powell, Lead Women’s Health Lobbyist

    • Tiffany Aquino, Head of Product - Milkstork

    • Trish Costello, Founder & CEO - Portfolia

    • Marianne DeBenedictis, SVP Payor Relations - Kindbody

    • Alessandra Henderson, Co-Founder, Elektra

    • Hope Yates, Head of Women’s Health Strategy, Columbia University Irving Medical Center

    • Dr. Jocelyn Fitzgerald, Urogynecological Surgeon and Reimbursement Advocate

 Learn from the industry’s best

I have started 4 companies in the women’s health space, raised over $100M and hired over 100 people. I have spent my entire career aggregating information and connecting the dots across business in order to create value.

Learning the ins-and-outs of the business of women’s health is exactly what I’ve been obsessing over for the last 8 years – and now I’m giving you a shortcut to that knowledge.

I started my first women’s health company in 2018, Renu Fertility Travel. We had 34 founders ready to freeze their eggs in South Africa at 1/3 of the cost, and our first trip was scheduled for March 2020. Oof.

In 2020, I co-founded Ovaterra with a world-renowned reproductive endocrinologist. We were VC-backed, first-purchase positive, had industry-leading CAC’s and grew a multi-million dollar business with products available in 47 countries, ultimately leading them through an M&A process.

In 2023, I founded In Women’s Health, the largest education and community platform for careers in women’s health.

In 2024, I Co-Founded the Women’s Health PAC to unite financial and political power to improve outcomes for women.

Along the way I’ve also consulted for $20M supplements companies, Series A consumer health sleep companies and Series B wearables companies.

I’ve served as CEO, CMO, CTO and COO in organizations of all sizes from $2M to $200M – and generated more than $1B of new business in my career.

I’ve run product, marketing, business development, strategy and HR in organizations. I have worked directly with providers and in clinics.  I understand what PE firms need for an exit, and how the VC model drives value for founders and investors.

I’ve angel invested in multiple women’s health companies and funds including Gabbi, Aunt Flow and Portfolia.

I’ve advised over 20 consumer health brands over the last 10 years.

I’ve served on the Boards of Naturally New York and Care + Wear.

I’ve created 12 B2B and D2C brands that I’ve rolled out across 99 markets for some of the world’s largest public companies.

I’ve worked on accounts like Mercedes, Chase, Samsung, J&J, and measured service delivery for 80% of the world’s luxury hotels.

And it’s not just me. The course will be co-taught by industry executives who will come to share their real-life industry experience with all of you, including our Course Co-Lead Rachel Braun Scherl.

Rachel is a marketing strategist, business builder, author, speaker, podcast co-host and Vagipreneur, focused on building businesses in women's sexual and reproductive health.

Rachel brings deep knowledge of menstruation, fertility, sexual disease prevention, birth control, pregnancy, menopause, and incontinence to help brands and businesses grow.

As President and co-founder of Semprae Laboratories, Rachel and her team built a company that developed and marketed sexual health and wellness products for women - creating a new category and transforming women’s health.

Semprae attracted significant media attention and industry interest and was sold to Innovus Pharmaceuticals in 2013.

She has authored many articles and a best-selling book, Orgasmic Leadership:  Profiting from the Coming Surge in Women’s Sexual Health and Wellness.

As the co-host of a podcast, Business of the V, she drives the conversation about the intersection of unmet needs and unanswered in women’s health with the businesses being created to respond to them.

Rachel is a frequent public speaker at universities, colleges, and industry conferences, including Duke, Stanford, CES, SXSW, Johnson & Johnson, Abbvie, and The Minnesota Vikings, among others.

She has completed hundreds of strategic growth projects for leading companies including J&J, Pfizer, Merck, Bayer, Church & Dwight, and Allergan and venture-backed start-ups.

In addition, will tap our joint network to provide opportunities for you to learn from the industry’s best as a part of your Mini-MBA experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does this cost?

Other courses charge upwards of $5,000 to help you grow. But our goal with The Women’s Health Mini-MBA is to keep it accessible while still charging enough to keep you accountable. The full price of the course is $1,197.

Who is this for?

  • Anyone looking to get promoted or advance their career in women’s health.

  • Anyone who feels they have gaps in their healthcare system knowledge.

  • Anyone who wants to understand how the nuances of women’s health work within the American healthcare system.

  • Anyone looking to build their network in women’s health and join a community of passionate women’s health talent.

  • HR leads looking to provide this content to their new hires and upskill current talent.

  • Founders building for the first time in women’s health.

What's the time commitment?

You’ll need 3 hours to attend the 2 live sessions per week and 1-2 hours to read the case studies and suggested reading (but it’s not mandatory!) (~4-5 per week total)

How long do I have access to the course materials?

You will have access to the course materials FOREVER This includes all live sessions, video materials, templates, and example files.

Do I get MBA credit for this class?

No. This course is not affiliated with any university and is not eligible for course credit.

Couldn't I just do this myself with all of the free content out there?

Well... you could. And I encourage you to try it. There are a LOT of healthcare and women’s health resources out there. Part of the challenge of healthcare is the fragmentation in the system. Chances are, you may have tried to teach yourself this before by listening to podcasts, reading articles and following along on LinkedIn. And between the hours it would take you to aggregate all of that content and the headaches you would have understanding how it all fits together… The $1,197 is well worth the investment.

Do I really need to know this to work in women’s health?

No. You can certainly work in a women’s health company without this depth of knowledge. But as you advance your career, you will need to be able to draw connections and look ahead in the ecosystem – and in order to that, you must know how the entire system works and where value is created for each stakeholder.

What if I can't attend the live sessions?

That’s okay. We record each of them and distribute them with detailed show notes, session transcripts, chat transcripts, and everything you need.

Will this help if I already work in women’s health?

Yes, in fact, you’ll have an advantage. You’ll have context and experiences you can draw on in order to bring the content to life for yourself and others.

Is this course good for women’s health clinicians?

Yes, in fact, you’ll have an advantage. Your hands-on experience will be very valuable for those in the class and you’ll walk away with a stronger understanding of how business decisions influence standards of care. This class is perfect for clinicians looking to make the jump out of patient care to the business-side of women’s health.

Can I help teach the program?

YES! If you have a specialty, or you’re an expert in a part of the women’s health ecosystem, we would love to have you involved in sharing your knowledge with others as a part of the class. Please reach out to me on [email protected].

Why is this page so ugly?

We are spending all of our time creating amazing course curriculum. We are not using fancy pages or marketing tactics for this course. Instead, we plan to sell the 50 spots to people who are already familiar with our work and don’t need a well-designed sales page or funnel to buy from us.

What if I have more questions?

Send me an email: [email protected] and I’ll get back to you soon.
